Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Field Forklift Service Technician to perform inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on material handling equipment in Field, BC. You will diagnose issues, ensure safe, efficient repairs, and communicate clearly with customers and management.

A hands-on role requiring mechanical skill, safety awareness, and a focus on quality service. The position involves driving to sites, using diagnostic tools, ordering parts, and maintaining service records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanically inclined with at least 2 years of industry experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and priorities tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections on customer and rental equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Complete equipment repairs in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and obtain customer approval before repairs.
• Open and close required work orders for customer repairs promptly.
• Maintain accurate daily time sheets and document all work performed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on material handling equipment.
• Order parts for PM, service, and warranty repairs as needed.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of company vehicle and workspace.
