Job summary

Apex Aluminum Extrusions, located in Langley, BC, is hiring a Forklift Operator to join our Packaging team. This is a full-time, permanent position with an excellent benefits package and room for growth.

You will move heavy loads safely, inspect equipment daily, and support loading/unloading tasks as needed within a manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork and a positive can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience on a production floor is required (min 1 year).
• Experience operating Hyster or similar equipment preferred.
• Experience in warehouse distribution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Move and lift aluminum logs 20–25 ft long and ~1000 lbs using forklift or pallet jack.
• Operate equipment safely following prescribed methods.
• Inspect and perform minor daily maintenance on forklift/equipment (e.g., add hydraulic fluid).
• Ensure job quality meets company standards and customer requirements.
• Assist in loading/unloading and other plant duties as required.
• Other duties, as assigned.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Forklift Operator to join our Packaging team in Langley, BC. This is a full-time, permanent position, with an excellent benefits package, and room for growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Using a forklift and/or pallet jack to safely and efficiently move and lift aluminum logs that are 20-25 ft long and around 1000 lbs. in weight, as well as other heavy material loads.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
• On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment (i.e., adding hydraulic fluid if necessary)
• Ensure job quality meets company standards and customer requirements.
• Assist in other parts of the plant including loading/unloading as required.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge/Experience and Skills:

• Forklift experience (minimum 1 year production floor experience required).
• Previous experience in driving Hyster and other similar equipment (preferred).
• Warehouse distribution experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
