Job summary

Trans Mountain Corporation is seeking an Intermediate Engineer (Field) for a contract role in Edmonton, AB. The position focuses on delivering sustaining capital and Major Project support, with emphasis on planning, assurance of field execution, and safety.

Responsibilities include developing EJPs, providing technical direction, and coordinating with Operations, Integrity, and Project teams to ensure readiness and compliance across live systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical) and eligibility for P.Eng. in BC.
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in a related field.
  • Pipeline/field engineering and project management experience preferred.
  • Experience with brownfield integration and live-system modifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support Major Projects and sustaining capital work planning and execution.
  • Develop, review, and assure Engineered Job Plans (EJPs) for complex field activities.
  • Ensure EJPs are fit-for-purpose, technically rigorous, and compliant with standards and safe practices.
  • Provide independent engineering oversight and risk mitigation for field execution.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Technical Services, Integrity and Projects for readiness.
  • Support incident investigations and capture engineering-driven corrective actions.
