Job summary

Trans Mountain Corporation seeks an Intermediate Engineer (Field) on a contract basis to deliver sustaining capital and Major Project support. You will provide engineering leadership and technical authority for field execution, with focus on planning, assurances, and safe, compliant work on pipeline and facility assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical).
• Eligible for Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in British Columbia.
• Minimum 5 years engineering experience in related field.
• Pipeline engineering and project management experience preferred.
• Experience in operating environments such as refinery, pipeline, mill, mine or plant preferred.
• Leadership and supervisory experience preferred.
• Project management experience including up to $5M.

Responsibilities

• Support Major Projects and sustaining capital work through outage planning and execution readiness.
• Lead development, review, and technical assurance of Engineered Job Plans (EJPs) for complex field execution.
• Ensure EJPs are fit-for-purpose, technically rigorous, and aligned with standards and safety practices.
• Provide independent engineering oversight and challenge to mitigate risks prior to field execution.
• Support TCCC planning and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for in-service assets.
• Coordinate with Operations and Project teams to ensure clear roles and execution readiness.
• Ensure modifications meet design intent and integrate with live systems.
• Provide technical guidance for unplanned events and external consultants.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Provide project engineering and management services including scoping, AFEs, design reviews, and start-up support.
