Job Details
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Single point of contact for the program with physicians
  2. Educate physicians and/or their staff on various program services
  3. Provide therapy guidelines to manage physician expectations with respect to reimbursement
  4. Consult patient charts in order to effectively complete necessary paperwork to obtain coverage
  5. Assist MDs in completing Special Authorization (SA) forms, enrolment forms, prescription renewals, and other documentation
  6. Provide ongoing updates to physicians on their patients
  7. Customize current program elements to meet the needs of assigned physicians: adjust based on in-clinic and remote MD needs.
  8. Identify areas for risk and foster proactive, continued quality improvement.
  9. Work collaboratively with other team members in various roles to coordinate the patient journey.
  10. Participate in scheduled physician meetings with sales representatives
  11. Attend Continuous Medical Education events and report new activities
  12. Regular travel to various physician offices
  13. Adverse Event reporting
  14. Adhoc duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Registered nurse (RN)
  2. Related degree may be considered (pharmacists, science degrees) or equivalent transferable skills
  3. Experience in public or private third party reimbursement arena or pharmaceutical sales experience, managed care, or clinical support, or related experience an asset
  4. Bilingualism is an asset (requirement for province of Quebec)
  5. Previous Case Manager experience an asset
  6. Basic CCPE an asset
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  2. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once
  3. Comprehension of medical terminology
  4. Strong analytical and organizational skills
  5. Ability to analyze current enrollment volume by MD
  6. Ability to engage with a physician and his/her staff as a trusted and well-informed medical counterpart
  7. Excellent time management skills & sense of urgency
  8. Ability to collaborate effectively with program associates
  9. Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting
  10. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and in both English and French (oral and written) for the Quebec and New Brunswick Provinces
  11. Detail and result oriented
  12. Ability to adapt to change and ambiguity
  13. Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  14. Ability to attend Continuous Healthcare Education (CHE) events with HCPs, which may occur outside regular business hours
  15. Hold and maintain a valid, non-expired, unrestricted driver’s license and possess a car
  16. Adhere to Performance Standards and Procedures required by the program
  17. Must have a private, dedicated home office space that accommodates equipment supplied by Innomar Strategies

The successful candidate may have daily contacts with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients or peers from cross-functional teams.
