Job summary

AIM Recycling, a division of American Iron & Metal (AIM), is seeking a Ferrous Receiving Attendant for our Drummondville site. The role focuses on receiving, sorting and handling non-ferrous metals; work is primarily indoors with occasional outdoor tasks based on needs.

• Perform other related tasks as required.

Job Description

We are looking for aFerrous Receiving Attendantto join our Drummondville team.

The successful candidate will primarily be involved in the receiving, sorting, and handling of non-ferrous metals. The work is mainly performed indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks depending on operational needs.

This position is focused on manual labour, material handling, and metal sorting in a dynamic industrial environment. We are looking for a reliable, active individual who is comfortable with physical work.

What you will be responsible for :

• Greet customers and apply established procedures;
• Unload, sort, inspect, and handle materials;
• Identify and classify non-ferrous metals;
• Weigh and organize materials;
• Prepare incoming and outgoing shipments;
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the site;
• Work safely in compliance with health and safety (HSE) standards;
• Perform any other related tasks associated with operations.

Qualifications

• You have experience in an industrial environment, recycling, or a related field (asset);
• You have experience operating a forklift or other equipment (asset);
• You have knowledge of different types of metals (asset);
• You are able to perform manual labour and work indoors and occasionally outdoors;
• You are in good physical condition and comfortable with repetitive tasks;
• You are responsible, punctual, resourceful, and safety-conscious;
• You have strong teamwork skills and can collaborate effectively with others.

Additional Information

*The $1,000 bonus will be paid in three equal installments: the first after 3 months of service (provided the probationary period is successfully completed), the second after 6 months of service, and the third after 9 months of service.
