Job summary

Mowi Canada East Inc. Saltwater Team is hiring a Farm Technician to support the full lifecycle of the fish at remote Bays West sites on Newfoundland's South Coast. You will feed the fish, monitor health, perform transfers and treatments, collect samples, and assist with grid and net work, site maintenance, and boat handling.

This is a permanent, full-time on-site role with two weeks on, two weeks off, including on-site living accommodations and a competitive wage package.

Qualifications

• Related education or experience within the industry would be considered an asset
• Physical ability to complete repetitive tasks
• Respect for the need for safe working practices and animal welfare
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working in remote locations, outside and on the water
• Able to work a two week on, two week off shift and live onsite in the company accommodations
• Able to work safely and effectively in challenging outdoor weather
• Physical capability to complete repetitive tasks and handle material up to 25kg
• Flexible approach to working to meet the demands of the job
• Marine related training certificates would be an asset
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada
