Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License and Full Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) certification are mandatory.

Role and Facility Information

Simply Wellness Medical, an efficient and collaborative clinic committed to providing high-quality primary care to patients in the community, is looking to expand their team. The renovated office in Vancouver, near Kingsway and Commercial Drive, features a passionate team of primary care providers and experienced support staff.

The clinic has 10 fully equipped exam rooms and a central provider charting room. Currently, there are 6 full-time family physicians, 1 full-time nurse practitioner, 2-3 regular locum physicians for timely cross coverage, and 1 full-time registered nurse involved in optimizing primary care services. RN Rachelle handles infant immunizations, assessments, forms, injections, recalls, relaying medical information, triage, preventative health screenings, and chronic disease management. In addition, cardiology and orthopedic specialists are available in-clinic approximately weekly.

The support team, including MOAs, plays a vital role in maintaining an efficient workflow both in-office and virtually. Responsibilities include taking patient vitals, preparing exam rooms, assisting with referrals and billing, and task follow-up. The clinic offers both virtual and in-person appointments, with providers managing customizable schedules for both modalities. The team-centered approach provides flexible and reliable vacation coverage, and billing is integrated within the EMR system.

Daily processes are streamlined through the EMR and virtual technology, including online appointment booking, encounter templates, pre-visit questionnaires, and automatic patient notifications to reduce no-shows. The secure patient portal facilitates lab requisitions, prescriptions, and communication. Cross-coverage support and efficient protocols ensure timely access to appointments for patients.

Trial shifts are available as an opportunity to assess alignment with your skills and interests.

Parking: Free underground and street parking.

Hours: Monday to Friday (flexible), with optional weekend shifts (not mandatory).
