Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License: Full

Come work as a Long-Term Care Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
Exciting opportunity to work in a brand new LTC Home in the heart of South West Vancouver community. The previous home was rebuilt, so this is a new build but a well-established nursing home owned and operated by the Health Authority. The environment is supportive and collegial.
There are approximately 10 residents, 8 with tracheostomy patients with ventilators and 2 tracheostomy patients without ventilators, which vary in age and diagnoses. The physician will work alongside an interdisciplinary team with respirologists and respiratory tech support. There is a level of complexity to the care, and the compensation is commensurate with the level of complexity.
Physicians will be expected to share in evening and weekend on-call in a shared call group, comprising a total of 8 Long-term care physicians. Join our team today!
Ideally, the candidate holds a certificate from the College of Family Physicians.
Qualifications
Education, Licensing, & Experience:
• Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) – Full
• Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) - Mandatory
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory
• Experience in care of patients with respiratory disease
Knowledge & Abilities:
• Commitment to participate in new methods in health improvement and care delivery
• Ability to work effectively as part of an inter-professional healthcare team.
