Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a multi-department facility in Alberta. You will ensure safe, efficient workflows, coordinate production, shipping, maintenance, and inventory, and align site activities with safety, quality, and cost objectives.

You will supervise supervisors and frontline teams, develop daily and weekly plans, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement while managing budgets and coordinating with support functions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operations in an industrial, manufacturing, recycling, logistics, or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a strong safety culture and ensure safe work practices are consistently followed throughout the facility.
• Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments and work areas within the facility.
• Coordinate production, yard, shipping, receiving, inventory, maintenance, and support activities to maintain safe and efficient workflow.
• Provide leadership and direction to department supervisors, leads, and employees.
• Develop and communicate daily and weekly operating plans based on production schedules, inbound volume, shipping demand, staffing, and equipment availability.
• Monitor safety, production, quality, downtime, inventory, labour, budget, and cost performance.
