IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta, is assisting a growing custom manufacturing organization to find an Operations Manager who can evolve into General Manager.

You will lead day-to-day manufacturing, drive scheduling, throughput, quality, safety, and continuous improvement while partnering with ownership, engineering, finance and the shop floor to build the future, scalable systems, and long-term profitability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience.
• Experience in metal fabrication or high-mix manufacturing.
• Hands-on leadership with ability to develop people.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP and production data.
• Proven ability to drive Lean and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations, scheduling and shop-floor execution.
• Improve throughput, productivity, quality and on-time delivery.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement Lean initiatives.
• Develop and enforce KPIs, data visibility and operating disciplines.
• Coach production supervisors and skilled trades.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Design, Finance and ownership.
