Job summary

The City of Fort Saskatchewan seeks a part-time seasonal worker to perform janitorial and preventative maintenance duties, snow removal, and manage outdoor rinks from December 7, 2026 to March 19, 2027.

You will work varied shifts with evenings, weekends and holidays, gain experience in facility operations, and enjoy benefits such as competitive wages, training opportunities, and family facility discounts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning and facility maintenance, and ability to handle snow removal with basic equipment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and preventative maintenance duties.
• Snow removal as required using hand and/or light powered operating equipment.
• Open, monitor and close outdoor rinks.
• Ensure all rules and regulations pertaining to the facilities are adhered to.
• Maintain positive public relations and provide assistance and information services to user groups and the public.
• Assisting Parks and Facility Operators with repair, fabrication, and maintenance duties and cleaning to meet customer service needs.
