Job summary

City of Kitchener is seeking a Temporary Full Time attendant to assist in day-to-day operations of our multi-use facilities, including the City Hall outdoor rink. Duties span a variety of shifts.

You will perform building and equipment maintenance, provide customer service and janitorial duties, and handle ice making with equipment such as a Zamboni, edger, and hand chopper. Requirements include a Grade 12 diploma, a valid G-class driver's license, and completion of Emergency First-Aid training;

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Valid MTO 'G' class driver's license in good standing.
• Attend Emergency First-Aid training.

(Temporary Full Time for 6 Months)

Responsibilities

Work with minimum supervision in all phases of the operation of a Multi-Use Facility. Prioritize work and carry out duties as assigned.
Duties include:

• Building/equipment maintenance, customer service and janitorial duties.
• Ice making and maintenance - Operates equipment (e.g., ice resurfacer (e.g., Zamboni), edger, hand chopper) to maintain ice around boards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

• Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.

Additional Requirements

• Valid MTO "G" class driver's license in good standing.
• Attend and successfully complete Emergency First-Aid training.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Flexible to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
