The City of Fort Saskatchewan seeks a part-time seasonal worker to perform janitorial and preventative maintenance duties, snow removal, and manage outdoor rinks from December 7, 2026 to March 19, 2027.
You will work varied shifts with evenings, weekends and holidays, gain experience in facility operations, and enjoy benefits such as competitive wages, training opportunities, and family facility discounts.
Candidates must have good organization, customer service and communication skills with a basic knowledge of cleanliness. Working knowledge and experience of the safe usage hand operated tools and snow removal equipment is essential. The ability to make practical, fair, and objective decisions pertaining to meeting customer needs, and performing facility and equipment operations and maintenance is required. This is a physically demanding position; incumbents will be required to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of adverse weather conditions. The number of hours of work per week may vary based on operational needs.
This position is within the scope of C.U.P.E. Local 30, and as such, you will be required to adhere to the articles contained within the Collective Agreement.
Hours of Work: Varying shifts, working a minimum of 15 hours per week including evenings, weekends, and holidays
