Access Credit Union in Winnipeg is hiring a Facilities & Operations Technician Assistant to provide general support to the Facilities & Operations Technician and perform various maintenance tasks across Access and subsidiary locations. The role includes custodial duties, basic systems maintenance, and on-call emergency coverage.

Starting salary listed as $51,139 with a band up to $62,594; candidates should have a Grade 12 diploma, 3–5 years in construction, and a Manitoba driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience working within the Construction Industry
  • Basic Familiarity with HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Building Construction
  • Valid class 5 Manitoba Driver's license
  • Willingness to upgrade trade based knowledge
  • Strong experience in taping and painting is preferred
  • Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of credit union policies and procedures on risk management, security and fraud prevention.
  • Observe all credit union policies and security requirements for privacy, safeguarding information, frauds, forgeries and holdup procedures.
  • Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide custodial functions in and around buildings and assist with furniture setup and painting tasks
  • Assist in ensuring efficient operation of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems
  • Assist tradespeople on major repairs, renovations and maintenance projects
  • Serve as a positive liaison with site personnel and address their concerns
  • Travel between locations to service buildings and be on call for emergencies
  • Represent Access competencies in all public interactions
  • Ensure maintenance is kept up to date and performed in a timely manner
