Job summary

The City of North Vancouver is seeking an auxiliary Facilities Maintenance Worker 1 to perform routine maintenance and custodial work around civic facilities and adjacent outdoor areas.

You will handle cleaning, landscaping tasks, minor repairs, lighting replacements, and assist in event setup. A valid BC Driver's License is required, and RCMP security clearance must be obtained for ongoing employment.

Qualifications

• Basic building/facility maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment usage.
• Awareness of occupational health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and custodial tasks around civic facilities and surrounding areas.
• Assist in event setup and takedown; perform minor repairs and lighting replacements.
• Carry out snow clearing, salting, cleaning catch basins, and pressure washing as needed.
