Job summary

Equans Services Canada & US is seeking a Custodial Services Supervisor at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport. This frontline leadership role directs daily custodial operations to keep facilities clean, safe, and welcoming, while guiding staff, managing schedules, and ensuring health and safety compliance.

You will drive service quality, support onboarding and training, and coordinate with maintenance, security, and client representatives to resolve issues and improve performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in custodial services, janitorial operations, or facility services.
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of custodial cleaning methods, sanitation standards, and floor care programs.
• Experience operating and overseeing commercial cleaning equipment (auto-scrubbers, burnishers, vacuums, carpet extractors).

Responsibilities

• Supervise, assign, and monitor the work of custodial staff to meet standards.
• Provide leadership, coaching, training, and performance feedback to custodial team members.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize cleaning schedules for routine and deep cleaning tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality audits using inspection tools and reporting systems.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, environmental, and site-specific requirements.
• Monitor the safe operation, storage, cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of custodial equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, security, and client representatives to coordinate activities.
• Investigate and respond to custodial service requests, concerns, and complaints.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training related to cleaning procedures and safety.
• Maintain accurate records related to inspections, training, incidents, and operational activities.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure availability of supplies.
• Participate in emergency response activities.
• Promote industry best practices for quality and safety.
