Job summary

Altis Technology is seeking a Property Maintenance Coordinator in Mississauga, ON to oversee daily facility operations, including building systems, security, and loading docks. You will coordinate preventative maintenance, safety programs, and vendor management to ensure safe and efficient logistics operations.

The role requires 35+ years in facilities-related work, a valid Ontario G license, and experience in warehouse/distribution environments.

Qualifications

• 35+ years of experience in facilities or related roles.
• Ontario Class G driver's licence is required.
• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, or transportation facility is preferred.
• Knowledge of building systems, safety, and vendor/contractor oversight.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facility operations including building systems, loading docks, offices, yard areas and security.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance, inspections and safety activities.
• Manage contractors and vendors for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, cleaning, landscaping, security and waste management.
• Monitor facility expenses, review invoices, and support operating budgets and capital projects.
• Collaborate across departments to identify hazards and minimize disruptions to logistics operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Youll oversee daily facility operations, including building systems, loading docks, offices, yard areas, parking, security, utilities, and surrounding property.
• Youll coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, emergency procedures, and safety activities.
• Youll manage contractors and vendors across services such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, cleaning, landscaping, security, and waste management.
• Youll monitor facility expenses, review invoices, maintain documentation, and support operating budgets and capital projects.
• Youll partner across departments to identify hazards, resolve facility concerns, and minimize disruptions to logistics operations.
• Youll respond to urgent issues and identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and the employee experience.

Skills and Qualifications

• 35+ years of experience in facilities management, building management, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related environment.
• Valid Ontario Class G drivers licence is required.
• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, or transportation facility is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, facility maintenance, workplace safety, vendor management, and contractor oversight.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with facility or maintenance management software experience considered an asset.
• Strong project management, organization, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements is an asset, along with flexibility to respond to urgent facility needs when required.
