Job summary

Region of Waterloo seeks a seasoned professional to develop, implement, and oversee its facilities capital renewal program. You will lead capital projects for client departments, supervise staff, and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires strong project governance, contract administration, and ability to communicate with stakeholders and the public. Hybrid work arrangement and a competitive salary are offered.

Qualifications

• College diploma/university degree in a field related to building construction or facilities.
• Progressively responsible related experience in residential or commercial construction and project management.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Construction Project Coordinators and Junior Project Coordinators.
• Prepares/ supervises contract drawings and documents for in‑house design projects.
• Administers contracts for contractors and consultants and provides technical assistance.
• Develops objectives for managing facilities capital programs and prepares cost estimates.
• Leads implementation of best practices and tracks progress across projects.
