Job summary

City of Edmonton is seeking a Supervisor of Facility Asset Management to lead the asset management program across more than 1,000 facilities with a replacement value of $8.7 billion. You will mentor a team, develop renewal plans, and deliver data-driven insights to support long-term planning.

Reporting to the Director, Lifecycle Management, you will build strategic partnerships, manage capital renewal funding, and ensure alignment with city policies while maintaining a high-performance,

Qualifications

• Engineering background in a related field is required or strongly preferred.
• Experience leading in a large, unionized organization.
• Advanced knowledge of facilities program and asset management.
• Experience with external consultants and capital renewal projects.
• Combines education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering high-performance work.
• Ensure staff have competencies and are well equipped to perform their roles.
• Liaise with departments and external partners to integrate facility asset management.
• Develop and maintain asset management plans, systems, and renewal metrics.
• Develop strategic plans and guidelines with business partners for major initiatives.
• Lead capital renewal planning and project prioritization addressing condition and policy.
• Work-related knowledge in Engineering/Architecture/Planning/Construction.
