Job summary

Pursuit in Canada (Banff) seeks an Assistant Manager to oversee restaurant operations and signature events. You will supervise staff, manage scheduling and payroll, and ensure food hygiene and guest satisfaction across banquets and weddings.

Qualifications

• Flexible to work various shifts (early mornings, late evenings, weekends).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for daily operations.
• Highly organized with multi-tasking ability.
• Strong leadership and management capabilities.
• Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline is a strong asset.
• 2 years in hotel or restaurant industry, including at least 1 year supervisory.
• Working knowledge of MICROS or similar POS system is an asset.
• Ability to obtain government licenses or permits as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations and special events.
• Supervise staff and ensure guest expectations are exceeded.
• Maintain food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Assist with recruitment, training, and staff management.
• Manage inventory and monthly counts with accuracy.
• Address customer complaints promptly and effectively.
• Ensure safety codes and health regulations are followed.
• Assist with cocktail creation and menu development.
• Lead weddings, conferences and signature events to flawless delivery.
• Handle daily billing, scheduling and payroll.
