Job summary

Pursuit in Canada is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, events, and weddings, ensuring flawless guest experiences and smooth service.

You will supervise staff, manage inventory and scheduling, coordinate with culinary teams, and handle payroll and daily billing. A degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management is an asset, with 2 years in hospitality and supervisory experience; MICROS or similar POS knowledge is a plus. Staff accommodation is available.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a hotel or restaurant industry, including at least 1 year in a supervisory position.
• Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline is a strong asset.
• Flexible to work various shifts (early mornings, late evenings, weekends).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations for restaurant and events, including banquets.
• Supervise staff and ensure guest expectations are exceeded.
• Maintain food hygiene practices and safety compliance.
• Assist with recruitment, training, and staff management.
• Oversee inventory management, scheduling, and payroll.
