Job summary

Pursuit Collection in Canada invites an Assistant Manager to oversee hotel restaurant operations and events, guiding a hands-on team to deliver memorable guest experiences and exceptional service across daily duties and special occasions.

You will supervise staff, recruit and train, coordinate weddings and conferences, assist with menus and inventory, and ensure safety, compliance, and accurate billing. The role offers staff accommodation if required and a dynamic, adventure-driven workplace.

Qualifications

• Over 1 year of supervisor experience in hotel or restaurant.
• Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline is an asset.
• Flexible to work various shifts (early mornings, late evenings, weekends).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrates basic computer proficiency, including working knowledge of MICROS or similar POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and ensure guest expectations are exceeded.
• Leader in daily communication on guest feedback and staff performance.
• Support recruitment, training, and ongoing staff management.
• Lead weddings, conferences and signature events; ensure flawless delivery.
• Assist with cocktail development and menu planning.
• Oversee inventory management; ensure proper unpacking and storage; monthly counts.
