Job summary

FYidoctors Sechelt – Sunshine Coast clinic is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to bring exceptional service and experience to our patients in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This on-site, full-time role runs through August 31, 2027 and typically offers 30-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

You will greet patients, manage check-in/out, assist with pre-testing, coordinate appointments, handle billing, and support eyewear pickups and minor repairs, leveraging MS Office.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience is considered an asset.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences.
• A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player with a growth mindset, able to manage changing priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, manage patient check-in and check-out and engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email.
• Perform pre-testing to support comprehensive eye care.
• Coordinate appointments, prepare prescription printouts, and manage billing and payments.
• Manage eyewear pick-ups and perform minor repairs and adjustments on eyewear.
• Deliver exceptional customer service ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required.
