Job summary

FYidoctors Penticton - Skaha Lake clinic is seeking an Optical Associate to deliver exceptional vision and eyewear experiences in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This full-time position runs 30-40 hours weekly, with the clinic open Monday to Friday.

You will greet patients, help with frame selection, interpret prescriptions, take measurements, manage billing, assist with contact lens fittings, and ensure a top-tier patient experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical retail or clinics is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and engage in person, by phone, and by email.
• Assist with frame selection and ensure proper fit.
• Interpret prescriptions and perform frame measurements.
• Coordinate appointments and prepare printouts.
• Manage billing and payments for patients and insurers.
• Assist with contact lens fittings and orders.
• Deliver excellent customer service and positive patient experience.
