Valley Veterinary Clinic in Carleton Place is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our small animal practice. This full-time role involves greeting clients, scheduling, invoicing, and supporting RVTs and vets in a friendly, pet-loving team.

We offer a 36-hour week, rotating Saturdays, full benefits, continuing education allowance, uniform, and free lab work for employee pets. The ideal candidate has 1+ year clinic experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a veterinary clinic.
• Excellent phone, email, and in-person communication skills.
• Comfort with online booking systems and payment processing.
• Availability for Saturday shifts on an approximately 1-in-3 rotation.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.

Responsabilités

• Answer client phone calls, texts, and emails.
• Schedule appointments and monitor the online booking system.
• Check clients in and keep appointments flowing smoothly from check-in to checkout.
• Dispense medications under the direct supervision of RVTs and veterinarians.
• Process cash payments and Scratchpay debit and credit transactions.
• Counsel clients on payment options, including Scratchpay payment plans.
• Provide advice to clients under the direct supervision of RVTs and veterinarians.
• Keep the reception area and exam rooms clean.
