Job summary

Woodbine Nissan in Toronto is seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Advisor to join our busy Parts Department. You will help retail customers, technicians and wholesale clients find the right part the first time, while delivering knowledgeable and efficient service.

In this fast-paced dealership environment you’ll use parts catalogues and dealership software, stay organized, and contribute as part of a team. A strong customer-first mindset is essential.

Woodbine Nissan is looking for an experienced Automotive Parts Advisor to join our Parts Department.

This is an opportunity for someone who already understands the automotive parts business and enjoys being the person customers, technicians and colleagues can rely on to find the right part, the first time.

You'll work in a fast-paced dealership environment supporting our Service technicians, retail customers and wholesale accounts while providing the knowledgeable, responsive service Woodbine Nissan is known for.

What You'll Do

As a Parts Advisor, you'll play an important role in keeping both our customers and our Service Department moving.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assist retail customers, Service technicians and wholesale clients with identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts.

Provide knowledgeable, professional and efficient service at the retail and technician parts counters.

Receive and process parts orders by telephone, technician counter, retail counter and wholesale accounts.

Look up parts, confirm availability and provide accurate pricing and product information.

Work closely with Service Advisors and technicians to help ensure required parts are available for scheduled and in-progress repairs.

Answer incoming Parts Department calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally and efficiently.

Process retail customer payments accurately.

Build positive relationships with customers and provide solutions when questions or concerns arise.

Handle customer concerns promptly and in accordance with dealership procedures.

Assist with receiving, organizing, picking and preparing parts as required.

Pick up and deliver parts when necessary.

Safely lift and move automotive parts and products weighing 50 lbs or more on a repetitive basis.

Help maintain an organized, efficient and professional Parts Department.

Take on additional responsibilities and department projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with previous automotive parts experience who can bring knowledge, organization and a strong customer-first mindset to the department.

The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience as an Automotive Parts Advisor or in an automotive parts environment.

Strong knowledge of automotive parts, components and basic technical/mechanical repair terminology.

Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to listen, ask the right questions and accurately determine what a customer or technician requires.

Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy dealership environment.

Confidence handling customer concerns and finding practical solutions.

Ability to follow established processes and procedures.

Ability to work independently, take initiative and contribute as part of a team.

Comfortable using computers and automotive parts/dealership software.

PBS experience is considered an asset.

Flexibility to assist with additional tasks as department needs change.

Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract.

Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs or more.
