The Supply Chain group is a dynamic team in which Purchasing, material management, and leadership skills are combined to effectively support our clients. In addition to a solid education focusing on Supply Chain, a strong set of personal competencies is a prerequisite for success. Being a team player and having an ability to interact effectively with client organizations, others disciplines, vendors, and contractors in our taskforce is essential.

This position provides leadership in the functional area and is primarily engaged in management activities that establish the direction of a, function, or project. The position requires the application of knowledge gained from experience and expertise to the job duties and responsibilities. The role serves as a Project Expediting Lead on medium- to large-sized EPFC projects and involves key responsibilities for critical supplier negotiations.

Principle Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Serve as a project member in the formulation of plans and the execution of overall expediting activities, and/or assist in the planning and execution of specialized expediting activities for the project or office.
  2. Manage the expediting work process and report the material management status of purchased material and equipment from purchase to receipt at points of use.
  3. Manage the development of all expediting activities from purchase to close-out, and assign expediting tasks to personnel.
  4. Perform supervisory responsibilities as appropriate.
  5. Review and action planning reports to support Fabrication or Construction.
  6. Maintain the highest ethical standards of Material Management professional responsibility.
  7. Manage personnel and foster an environment for staff development, including training and performance feedback.
  8. Leverage internal and external resources to ensure consistent policy and procedure adherence across all lines and locations.
  9. Analyze situations, forecast problems, evaluate options, and recommend or implement solutions.
  10. Organize and prioritize complex projects and tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  11. Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
  12. Support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
  13. Develop and apply core skills relevant to the job.
  14. Travel as needed for business matters.
  15. Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
Expediting Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the Material Manager on staffing the project's expediting function.
  2. Manage the execution of all expediting activities in compliance with project plans and schedules.
  3. Interact with the Project Material Manager, Discipline Leads, and Client daily to meet project objectives.
  4. Manage personnel within a diverse project team.
  5. Coordinate closely with Distributed Execution Centers.
  6. Prepare and maintain Project Expediting Management and Shop Expediting Plans.
  7. Develop Project Expediting Procedures.
