Job summary

Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking an Events Services Server to manage banquet setups, service and clearing with guest‑focused care. You will support event prep, maintain a clean environment and work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Starting wage is $19.55 per hour; after six months it rises to $22.80, and after one year to $26.06. Must have Food Safe Level 1 and Serving It Right and be a strong team player with superb communication.

Qualifications

  • Must have true desire to satisfy guests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Food and beverage experience in events is an asset.
  • Must have Food Safe Level 1 and Serving It Right certificates.
  • Must be available to work varied shifts including weekends/holidays.
  • Must be an excellent team player and able to work with a diverse group.
  • Must engage customers professionally at all times.
  • Must be able to prioritize and multitask.

Position

Events Services Server (Full‑Time)

Events Services Server is responsible for the entire set‑up, serving and clearing of banquet rooms, the service of guests and providing excellent customer service. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight. This is a fast‑paced position with continual customer contact. Other duties include general event preparation and maintaining a sanitary environment (event service station setups, stock replenishment, equipment organization and cleaning).

Candidate must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays. Shifts could either be opening shifts (AM, MID or PM) which start at 5:00 am and/or closing shifts until 2:00 am.

Starting wage for this position is $19.55 per hour; after 6 months wage is $22.80 per hour, and after 1 year wage is $26.06 per hour.
