Job summary

TCU Place is seeking Event Services Custodians to support overnight room conversions and facility cleaning. This role ensures a presentation of excellence for each event, from theatre setups to teardown after weddings, conventions, and meetings.

Responsibilities include responding to client requests, assisting with janitorial duties, removing debris and snow, and performing security checks. Shift work, including midnight starts, weekends, and flexible scheduling, is required.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 education.
• Three months' related setup and teardown experience.
• Shift work including midnight and overnight hours.

• Responds to client requests before and during events.
• Assists with janitorial and general cleaning duties.

• Performs security checks of building, as required.
• Responds to radio calls, covers the stage door and assists with shipping and receiving, as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to deal courteously and tactfully with the public and other employees.
• Physical ability to perform the assigned duties.
• Ability to operate mechanical equipment.

Security Requirements

• Acceptable current Criminal Record Check (CRC) upon offer of employment.

Education, Training and Experience Requirements

• Grade 10 education.
• Three months' related setup and teardown experience.

Hours of Work

• Shift work and weekend work is required.
• The scheduling of this position is surrounding the needs of our events with shifts primarily starting at midnight and overnight.
