Job summary

TCU Place is seeking Event Services Custodians to support overnight room conversions and facility cleaning. The role focuses on maintaining a high standard of presentation for each event, with shifts starting at midnight and throughout the night.

Responsibilities include setting up and tearing down events, assisting clients, cleaning duties, security checks, and handling shipping and receiving as needed. The role requires minimal supervision and the ability to work outdoors in various conditions.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 education.
• Three months' related setup and teardown experience.

• Performs setup and dismantling of events (theatre, weddings, banquets, conventions, meetings, trade shows, cabarets).
• Responds to client requests before and during events.
• Assists with janitorial and general cleaning duties.
• Removes debris and snow from outside grounds, walkways and patio.
• Performs security checks of the building as required.
• Responds to radio calls, covers the stage door, and assists with shipping/receiving.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position is essential to ensure a presentation of excellence with each unique event held at TCU Place.

Typical Duties

Security Requirements

• Acceptable current Criminal Record Check (CRC) upon offer of employment.

Hours Of Work

• Shift work and weekend work is required.

The scheduling of this position is surrounding the needs of our events with shifts primarily starting at midnight and overnight.

Salary: $20.13 - $22.20 per hour
