Job summary

TO Live is seeking a Prep Cook to join our Patron and Events Services team in Toronto. The role supports event and venue operations, with a schedule that includes weekdays, weeknights and weekends.

This is a unionized position and you will be required to join IATSE Local B-173. Based at Meridian Hall with occasional shifts at Meridian Arts Centre and the St Lawrence Centre for the Arts, you will prepare, cook and present high quality dishes, follow recipes and maintain food safety standards in a

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment preferred.
• Good knife handling and cutting techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes.
• Preparing salads, sandwiches and assorted platters.
• Follow recipes accurately.
• Perform light-duty cleaning in the kitchen area including washing dishes.
• Clear and dispose of garbage in designated areas.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Occasional off-site work as required.
