Job summary

Stock T.C is seeking a full-time Prep Cook to join our team in Toronto, at Yonge & Montgomery Streets. The role offers an hourly wage of $18 to $19 based on experience and requires strong prep cooking skills and teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen.

Join a venture created with Terroni to offer a market space and a full-service restaurant with a bar. Open availability including evenings and weekends is needed to support the operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a prep cook or equivalent.
• Be highly organized and able to multitask.
• Open/flexible availability (including evenings and weekends).
• Able to move up to 50 pounds on occasion.
• Basic safe handling knife skills.
• Ability to take direction.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Follow a given recipe and quality standard and prepare various food items using different methods and kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and quality standards to prepare items using ovens, broilers, fryers and grills.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the prep area.
• Support chefs and kitchen team with daily prep tasks.
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen.
