Job summary

McGill University, Desautels Hiring Unit, seeks a part-time Coordinator to support alumni events including lectures, receptions and reunions. You will manage logistics, registrations, attendee and vendor tracking, and onsite troubleshooting, with a focus on customer service and compliance.

Responsibilities include preparing event materials, maintaining supplies and records, and ensuring accessibility and data/financial compliance while collaborating with campus partners.

  • Proven ability to draft, proofread and edit texts or documents with proper spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in PC software including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations and Minerva.

Position Summary

Coordinate and support alumni events (lectures, receptions, reunions, dinners) including logistics, registration, attendee/vendor tracking, onsite troubleshooting, communications, basic budget monitoring, and vendor/venue research. Provide customer service for registrants, prepare event materials, maintain supplies and records, and ensure accessibility and data/financial compliance.

  • Proficiency in a PC environment using word processing software, spreadsheets, database and presentation software and ability to use email as well as Minerva.
