Job summary

McGill University in Montreal seeks a part-time AV technician to assist with installation and operation of equipment for CIRMMT productions and events, including lectures, concerts, seminars, and workshops.

The incumbent will greet users, provide detailed information on equipment use, set up props and AV gear, and schedule rooms and gear for events, while maintaining a tidy work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and / or equivalent professional experience.

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent may perform some or all of the listed typical functions in the context of the installation and operation of equipment and infrastructure necessary for CIRMMT productions and events (concerts, lectures, seminars, workshops, special events).

Primary Duties:

• Greets users and answers specific inquiries with a positive attitude.
• This includes detailed information regarding use of equipment.
• Sets up props and/or A/V equipment and records events such as lectures, concerts, workshops, and meetings.
• Schedule audio/video equipment and rooms to record events.
• Maintains work area and spaces.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

• High School Diploma and / or equivalent professional experience.
• Availability for necessary events.
• Bilingual in French and English.
