Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Longueuil is seeking an evening supervisor to manage the department during evenings and contribute to a smooth operation. The role requires a willingness to learn and a background in retail, with part-time hours totaling 15–20 per week.

You will oversee routines in the absence of the manager, guide team members, ensure proper product rotation and merchandising, and place orders for your sections.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a retail business.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine management activities within the department in the absence of the department manager.

What would a typical day look like?

As an evening supervisor, you will have to :

• perform routine management activities within your department in the absence of the department manager;
• provide team members with the feedback they need to develop professionally and achieve established goals;
• ensure product rotation according to prescribed standards, labeling of merchandise and stocking of shelves and displays in a manner that is attractive to consumers;
• place orders for designated sections and perform various receiving functions.
