Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Magog, QC is seeking a cashier supervisor to help lead a busy grocery department. You will oversee daily operations, assist with purchasing and PLU pricing, and ensure sales targets per hour per person are met.

A high school diploma or equivalent and cashier experience are required. You will train and motivate staff, manage cash register tasks, and collaborate with the Department Manager to maintain smooth operations.

• Minimum of experience as a cashier and leadership skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Department Manager with day-to-day department operations.
• Oversee purchases, inventories, PLU price lists and sales per hour per person targets.

What might a typical day look like?

As cashier supervisor, you will be expected to:

• perform various management activities within the department department in collaboration with the Department Manager;
• in collaboration with the department manager, ensure the management of purchases, inventories, P.L.U. price lists and respect the sales per hour/person in order to ensure business readiness;
• train, evaluate and motivate the members of his team and carry out the various operations related to the accounting of the cash registers (money transfer, deposits, controls, weekly verifications, etc.).
