Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Beloeil, QC is seeking an assistant department manager to lead day-to-day activities in the department, mentor staff, and ensure excellent service.

You will work with the department manager, collaborate with production and customer service clerks, manage inventories, pricing, and marketing to keep the store ready and productive.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in retail or customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to learn and participate in training courses.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day management activities within the department in collaboration with the department manager.
• Provide team members with feedback for their professional development and achieving objectives.
• Collaborate with production and customer service clerks; ensure exceptional customer service.
• Work with the manager to manage inventories, price lists, marketing and productivity to ensure business readiness.
