Job summary

Extendicare in Brandon, Manitoba is seeking an Assistant Director of Care (ADOC) to lead clinical operations and drive safe, high-quality, compassionate care for residents.

Reporting to the Director of Care, you will oversee assigned clinical areas, collaborate with care teams, and promote a customer service philosophy to improve resident satisfaction while meeting accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned program areas per Extendicare's Model of Care, ensuring implementation and performance in line with standards.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies, escalating as appropriate with organizational teams.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with regulations, licensing, accreditation, and employment standards, including investigations and action planning.
• Collaborate with the Director of Care, interdisciplinary team, and residents and families to deliver and optimize care.
• Lead development, implementation, and oversight of quality improvement initiatives to meet goals.
• Engage with vendors on quality initiatives and train requirements; collaborate with community health partners.
• Foster professional growth and engagement through mentorship and training to enhance team performance.
