Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Tasks:

  1. Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  2. Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  3. Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  4. Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  5. Order supplies and equipment
  6. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  7. Clean kitchen and work areas
  8. Manage kitchen operations

Support for persons with disabilities:

  1. Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities
  2. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities
  3. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities

Support for newcomers and refugees:

  1. Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
  2. Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.)
  3. Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.)
  4. Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
  5. Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees

Support for youths:

  1. Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment
  2. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth
  3. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth

Support for Veterans:

  1. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Veterans
  2. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans
  3. Supports Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market
  4. Offers flexible onboarding options to allow Veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace (for example: gradually increasing hours and responsibilities, etc.)

Support for mature workers:

  1. Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers
  2. Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers
  3. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for mature workers

Support for visible minorities:

  1. Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities
