Job summary

Woodland Constructors Ltd. seeks an experienced Hoe Equipment Operator to support the Dow Chemical Site in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. You will safely operate hoes and other heavy equipment for excavation, grading and material handling while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance Level II certs, plus prior hoe experience and a valid Class 5 license; local travel and A&D testing may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating excavators (hoes) in construction/industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate hoes and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and material handling per project specs.
• Conduct daily pre-use inspections and routine maintenance.
• Follow site safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew to ensure on-schedule work.
• Keep equipment clean and report mechanical issues promptly.

Position Summary

Woodland Constructors Ltd. is seeking experienced Hoe Equipment Operators to join the Dow Chemical Site in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. The successful candidate will safely operate Hoes and other heavy equipment to support excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling activities while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Hoes and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and material handling tasks in accordance with project requirements.
• Conduct daily pre-use inspections and perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Follow all site safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and promptly report any mechanical issues or deficiencies.

Requirements

• Valid CSTS 2020 certification.
• Valid WHMIS 2015 certification.
• Valid Ground Disturbance Level II certification.
• Previous experience operating excavators (hoes) in a construction or industrial environment.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation to and from site.
• Must be able to pass Alcohol and Drug (A&D) testing.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
