Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprentices for Woodland Constructors Ltd. at the Dow Path2Zero site in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. Day shift, 10-hour days, 14 days on/7 off, with local accommodations and drive-in/out travel.

The role requires a valid Steamfitter-Pipefitter Apprentice Card, CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and related safety certifications. Candidates must be able to work in extreme weather and lift up to 50 lbs; Canadian work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Steamfitter-Pipefitter Apprentice Card.
• CSTS 2020.
• WHMIS 2015.
• Fall Protection (Must be in class).
• Confined Space and Entry.
• Rigging Certificate.
• Must be able to work in extreme weather temperatures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Satisfactory completion of Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test.

Responsibilities

• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
• Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
