Responsibilities

  • Track and release equipment daily for all depots and terminals to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure customers obtain equipment meeting their shipping needs in a timely manner.
  • Control and manage temporary import permits and paperwork before customs authorities.
  • Create empty bookings as required.
  • Reposition containers that are sold or for sale to the buyer.
  • Plan and steer empty containers on vessel, barge and feeder.
  • Track and trace overdue equipment to improve turnaround times.
  • Issue work orders to reposition equipment by rail or truck.
  • Ensure all equipment is at the appropriate location.
  • Control positioning costs and evaluate vendor performance.
  • Handle inquiries about equipment releases or inventory availability.
  • Review gate-in, gate-out, and empty-container transport invoices.
  • Coordinate and execute Area Canada's off-hire program.
  • Liaise with Customer Service, depots, and terminals to ensure redelivery of scheduled off-hire units.
  • Perform additional ad hoc duties as required.
