Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking an experienced Asset Management and Fleet Operations professional to support regional coordinators, coordinate cross-functional fleet activities, and manage inventory across Canada. You will help optimize asset utilization, drive improvements, and assist pre-construction teams on proposals for upcoming projects.

Ideal candidates will hold a college diploma in asset management/logistics and bring at least five years of experience in asset operations, with strong communication

  • Candidates must have a college diploma in Asset Management, Asset Maintenance, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in asset management or related field.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage high-volume requests under deadlines.
  • Experience on construction projects or sites is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support Regional Coordinators in fleet decisions for equipment and inventory.
  • Coordinate fleet operations with Maintenance, Transportation, Shipping, Yard, and Warehouse teams to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Assign tasks and follow up to meet delivery and return deadlines.
  • Coordinate transfers between project sites and logistics centers across Canada.
  • Develop acquisition and disposal strategies for asset classes under your responsibility.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Maintenance on fleet acquisitions.
  • Coordinate integration of new assets with Procurement and Maintenance.
  • Manage yard and warehouse inventories across Canada.
  • Maximize fleet utilization through continuous rotation and deployment to sites.
  • Build relationships with fleet users and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support pre-construction teams in developing proposals for upcoming projects.

What you will do
  • Support Regional Coordinators in making informed decisions to meet client needs related to Fleet equipment and inventory.
  • Coordinate Fleet operations with Maintenance, Transportation, Shipping & Receiving, Yard, and Warehouse teams to ensure equipment and inventory are delivered on time.
  • Assign tasks to various teams and follow up on requests to ensure equipment and inventory delivery and return deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate equipment and inventory transfers between project sites and logistics centers across Canada.
  • Collaborate in developing acquisition and disposal strategies for asset classes under your responsibility.
  • Work closely with Procurement and Maintenance teams on Fleet equipment acquisitions to ensure they meet project requirements.
  • Coordinate the integration of new assets into the Fleet in partnership with Procurement and Maintenance.
  • Manage yard and warehouse inventories for the company and its affiliated entities across Canada.
  • Maximize Fleet utilization by ensuring the continuous rotation and deployment of equipment to project sites.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with Fleet equipment users and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Fleet operations.
  • Support pre-construction teams, as required, in developing proposals for upcoming projects.
This role could be for you if you have
  • A college diploma in Asset Management, Asset Maintenance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management, equipment operations, tooling management, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently and effectively manage a high volume of requests within tight deadlines.
  • Experience working on construction projects or construction sites (considered an asset)
