Westhills EVS, located in Parkland County, Alberta, is seeking an Equine Appointment Veterinarian for a full-time, permanent role. The position emphasizes scheduled outpatient care, strong client relationships, and collaboration with a dedicated technical and hospital team to support high-quality equine medicine.

You will own cases from assessment to treatment planning and follow-up, while utilizing support staff to manage diagnostics, caseflow, and client communication.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent required.
• Eligible for Alberta veterinary licensure.
• Strong equine medicine skills required.
• Valid drivers license required.

Responsabilités

• Provide primary medical oversight for scheduled outpatient appointments.
• Perform sports medicine and lameness evaluations.
• Deliver preventive health and wellness care for equine patients.
• Conduct diagnostic imaging and outpatient procedures.
• Educate clients and develop treatment plans; ensure follow-up.
• Maintain medical records and process invoicing at point of care.
• Collaborate with the Hospital Veterinarian for inpatient care when needed.
• Delegate tasks to trained assistants.
• Build long-term client relationships through exceptional communication and continuity of care.
