Westhills Equine Veterinary Services is seeking an Equine Appointment Veterinarian to join our growing team.
This is more than a traditional equine associate position. It's an opportunity to build a rewarding outpatient career within a collaborative practice intentionally designed around excellent medicine, organized clinical support, and sustainable veterinary practice. As an Appointment Veterinarian, you'll focus on scheduled outpatient care while working alongside a dedicated technical team and hospital service that allows you to concentrate on your patients—not constantly juggling competing responsibilities.
If you're a veterinarian who enjoys building client relationships, developing long-term case continuity, and delivering thoughtful, high-quality equine care, we'd love to hear from you.
Westhills EVS is a comprehensive equine reproductive and wellness centre serving horses and their owners through advanced reproductive medicine, foaling and neonatal care, sports medicine, preventive care, hospital medicine, and client-only urgent care. We are intentionally building clear clinical ownership, dependable technical support, and predictable workflows so exceptional medicine doesn't depend on veterinarians carrying every responsibility alone.
When you join Westhills EVS, you become part of a small, close-knit team of hardworking professionals who genuinely enjoy supporting one another. Our collaborative culture encourages initiative, leadership, and lifelong learning while allowing veterinarians to develop areas of special interest and build rewarding careers.
Our practice offers:
As our Equine Appointment Veterinarian, you'll provide primary medical oversight for scheduled outpatient appointments while building strong relationships with both clients and their horses.
You'll own your cases from initial assessment through treatment planning, client communication, and follow-up, while working alongside dedicated appointment support staff who help prepare patients, coordinate diagnostics, and keep appointments running efficiently. When a patient requires hospitalization or advanced inpatient monitoring, care is intentionally transitioned to our Hospital Veterinarian, allowing you to maintain focus on your scheduled caseload while ensuring every patient receives the level of care they need. Some emergency care work required, (~1/6 rotation).
This role offers the opportunity to develop a rewarding career in outpatient equine medicine while pursuing areas of special interest and contributing to the continued growth of our practice.
