Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program provides a unique opportunity to learn and grow within an established company with over 45 years of experience. The program lasts approximately sixteen (16) weeks and includes hands-on and computer-based training covering:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform duties of various housekeeping and laundry positions, operate industrial cleaning equipment, and teach others.
  • Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership, support, and guidance to meet quality standards, safety guidelines, and customer expectations.
  • Reporting: Maintain records related to income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Training & Quality Control: Responsible for staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to meet standards, including regular site assessments.
  • Leadership Responsibilities: Manage payroll, staffing, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  • Communication: Effectively relay directives from management to staff.
  • Safety: Use PPE, handle cleaning solutions safely, report equipment needs, and follow infection control procedures.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance, complete tasks on schedule, and respond promptly to communications.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions.
  • Experience: Maintain positive, tactful interactions with staff and guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude; ability to follow instructions and perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training to perform responsibilities independently and safely.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Reside within the service area.
