As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team by delegating tasks and creating the Starbucks Experience for our customers through legendary customer service, prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment. You will model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles, and be part of a company consistently rated as a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  • Maintain composure during high volume or unusual events to ensure store standards and set a positive example for the team.
  • Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the manager to respond appropriately and create a welcoming environment.
  • Assist in training new partners, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback on partner performance during shifts.
  • Recognize and communicate partner morale and performance issues to the store manager.
  • Provide clear, timely, and respectful coaching to partners to ensure operational excellence.
  • Deliver legendary customer service, acting with a 'customer comes first' attitude.
  • Respond to customer needs and develop positive relationships with the team.
  • Organize opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Follow Starbucks policies on cash handling, safety, and security.
  • Ensure proper cash management practices are followed.
  • Coordinate with baristas to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Consistently provide quality beverages, food, and products according to standards.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognize and reinforce team accomplishments and find new ways to motivate and recognize the team.
  • Use operational tools to achieve excellence during shifts.
Experience
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant environments.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
  • Quick learner with effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of retail environment and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
