Job summary

Tolko Industries Ltd. in Williams Lake, BC, is hiring Production Employees to join the Lakeview Division. You will help produce lumber safely and efficiently, with training provided in an entry level role.

Requirements include safety commitment, good communication, ability to work various shifts in a physically demanding environment, and the option to work independently within a high-performance team. Rotating 8 and 9 hour shifts offered.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to working safely.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, in a physically demanding industrial environment.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Previous experience working in an industrial environment is an asset.
• Previous experience operating a forklift or loader is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Work independently as part of a high-performance team dedicated safely and efficiently producing lumber products.
• Perform a variety of labour duties to increase productivity and reduce safety risks.
• Identify, analyse and troubleshoot any problems that might arise in your area, and communicate with your Team Lead and Maintenance teams to get things back on track.
• Work a rotating 8 & 9 hour shift schedule, which gives you flexibility to spend extra time with your family on days off.
