Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

The Enterprise Project Manager plans and delivers projects across Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) enterprise portfolio, ensuring alignment with approved strategic priorities and the department's mandate for continuous improvement. This full-time, temporary role (1-year term) role brings structured project management discipline to cross-functional initiatives, working closely with stakeholders to define scope, manage delivery, and drive measurable outcomes. In addition to core project management responsibilities, this position applies business analysis and process improvement expertise to strengthen project quality, identify process gaps, support requirements clarity, and uncover opportunities for increased efficiency.

Project management role providing advanced expertise in project management, with a secondary focus on business analysis and process improvement. Works both independently and in partnership with project teams and stakeholders across the organization, facilitating project delivery and coordinating project team activities without direct people management responsibility. The role exercises defined decision-making authority within established project scope and budget, and focuses on project planning, execution, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of project outcomes.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Define projectobjectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, accounting for resource requirements and constraints.
  • Coordinateprojectexecutionaccording totheapprovedplan and timeline,monitoringprogress, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Identifyand address risks, issues, and changespromptlyto protect project outcomes.
  • Establish clear communication channels with stakeholders, providing regular status updates,and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, kickoffs, andreviews to align teams and gather feedback.
  • Coordinate project team activities and support contributors inachievingprojectobjectives, fostering a collaborative and accountable project environment.
  • Gather and document business requirements and map current and future state processes to support project scoping and design.
  • Identifyopportunities to improve workflows and operational efficiency withinassignedprojects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the success of departmental projects and organizational priorities.
Qualifications
  • Education:
  • Post-secondarydegree,diploma, or certificatein project management, business administration, orrelated field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, oranaccreditedequivalent.
  • Businessanalystcertification,such asCertification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA),Entry Certificate in Business Analysis(ECBA), or equivalent,is considered anasset.
  • Experience:
  • 5+yearsof progressive experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in an enterprise environment.
  • Requiredskills andabilities:
  • Excellent judgment,professionalismand diplomacy when managing sensitive stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving and process-thinking skills, with the ability toidentifyroot causes, evaluate options, and recommend practical solutions to improve outcomes and efficiency.
  • Provenenterpriseproject management skills, includingscope control, risk management, requirements gathering, process mapping,andcoordination acrosscompetingprioritiesand cross-functional initiatives.
  • Advanced writtenand verbal communication skills, including preparingclear reports,presentationsand stakeholder communications.
  • Demonstrated ability tobuild collaborative working relationships across departments.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office andproject planningplatforms.
Logistics
  • This role is a full-time temporary role with a fixed term of 1 year, with the potential for extension based on business needs.
  • This position requires a 40-hour work week.
  • Both travel within Alberta and evening or weekend work will be infrequent andprojectdependent.
  • This role is eligible for a hybrid work model (ACSA Edmonton office).
  • This role reportsto the Manager of Continuous Improvement.

Salary: Starting at $82,000, depending on experience and qualifications
